The Kitchen Widow is a modern take on the age-old kitchen table conversation - an inspirational online platform dedicated to raising awareness about how people can support each other through times of illness and grief. The Kitchen Widow reclaims the lost art of comforting the soul and centers around delicious food. 

Clinger Digital partnered with The Kitchen Widow to produce a series of episodes and short-form content. As the director of photography, my goal was to create a vibrant, bright environment with rich textures and lush colors to showcase the beautiful food. I approached the pieces with a documentary-style intent and a handheld, fluid aesthetic to keep things feeling natural and organic. We shot with two cameras - a RED Dragon and a Canon 5D Mark III, with a mixture of Cooke Mini S4i, Leica R, and Rokinon lenses.
